I have always had a massive interest in dance and gymnastics, unfortunately as I have grown up my path has been reasoned with and has met the expectations others had of me. Recently I have had what feels like a huge awakening in that I have actually been taught that following my own desires and expectations of myself is not a selfish act but the act of kindness, that is why I find myself joining the Yogi’s of the World.
The programming I like most of the western world have been educated with whilst developing my skill sets in life have been detrimental to my very being. Now I am learning to be kind to myself and Yoga plays a big part of this. In the first instance it satisfies the desires of the little girl I was and helps sustain the new learning and development of the woman I am now. Instead of being a runner, swimmer, cyclist and all round general athlete that can only dedicate time to be brilliant to a point (I’ve done all three, not for my benefit) which attracts a negative energy I have decided to stop competing with expectation and just get to understand what I want from life.
In the second instance as I get older I don’t want to feel older. I have no desire in looking at someone else and saying to myself ‘I used to be able to do that’. Age is a number and time nothing more than a man made concept, and though my children are starting their journey’s in adulthood I still want to be able to feel the vibrations of their worlds. I will do this by being able to be of the mindset needed to support their experiences. This is a great element the peace and clarity the meditational side of Yoga gives and leaves you open to receive, and they can always join in.
Have a peaceful day and remember to be kind to yourself first, the vibrational impact in amazing.

Ok maybe I’m not yet King of the world but the title was inspired by the watching of Coachella Highlights, as one of the presenters stepped onto a balcony and shouted just that down her microphone!
So the Coachella music and Arts Festival has just happened, I have followed some of the highlight’s, a lover of alternative fashion and a brand that advocates the alternative in all it’s bohemian glory there is no way I could not be privy to this happening on the other side of the Atlantic. So here are some festival chic fashion things that happened in San Diego last weekend http://live.coachella.com/chan-4
Personally I love all the fringing and layering fashion, Big bulky accessories are not my thing I like my accessories to feel weightless. Below is a selection of the Street style fashion which was prevalent in San Diego over the weekend. I do like the cosplay element people also decided to play up to, makes things a little more interesting.

See you all soon
Thank you to the Brew Haus Bradford who once again put on a fantastic event for the city. It was nice to see the local exchange students and patrons pop in to see what the stall holders had to offer in light of Mother’s Day and Easter fast approaching. For us it was great to see our table gaining plenty of new admirers and speaking with exchange students from Bradford University.
The highlight of the Brew Haus event though as always was the live music, and we treated to excellent vocals from local musician Nessa Ndukuba.
It was also lovely to see Glenn Hustler back with his satirical comedic wares.
Following up from our last blog we have new addition to our Etsy shop. Our Men’s section is being filled with the new collection this week and as if that wasn’t keeping us busy enough we will be attending the Leeds Fashion Festival held by Fabrication, which we are looking forward to, as we are not exhibiting at this event we get the opportunity to just enjoy it and be sociable.
Join us again next Wednesday for more updates on the goings on at Vie Headquarters, and if you would like us to visit an event near you, just ask and we will see what we can do.
